Default Checking and clearing codes

Actually, this has more to do with just clearing them. After work yesterday, I started my jeep, and it ran fine until it started coming off of fast idle, then it started missing and acted like it was gonna stall. As the fast idle came down towards regular idle speed, it cleared up and ran smooth. When I got home, I checked for codes with my Aeroforce Interceptor gauge, and it showed a PO455. I didn't bother clearing it so it would be in there when I took it to the dealer. Well, today I got that misterious "ding" again, and checked for codes, and it said there were no stored codes. Do the JK's automatically clear codes after so many key cycles?

I get a mysterious ding as well from time to time without any codes. Seems like it only started after I installed the Aeroforce gauge. And now after having it installed for a while, I have noticed I only get the one mysterious ding after I have been in programming mode on the Aeroforce. Weird ... but I do love my Aeroforce

I get the ding some times when my fuel is low, the light did not come when it ding but a few miles later the low fuel light goes on. Just a thought.
