Cleaning the Hard Top
I haven't seen it come up in a while, but every now and then someone asks the best way to "clean" the hardtop since you can't wax it. After some trail rides that left some minor tree branch scuff marks on the sides I had kinda resigned myself to seeing them for the rest of my life. It's a jeep thing right? Well, not so much, I was detailing the jeep a couple of weekends ago and decided to use Aerospace 303 on the hardtop and lo and behold minor tree scuff marks and light scratches disappeared like magic, and the thing shined like brand new afterwards!
Just thought I would spread the word for all you hard top owners out there.

I bought it at a boating store called West Marine that we have here in Virginia. Not sure if they are in other states, but any boating store should have it, like Boater's World and the like. It's not cheap (windex sized typical spray bottle was 22 bucks) but well worth it as you can use it on all the black exterior plastic to bring back it's luster as well as the interior, tonneau covers on pickups, soft tops, tires, hood latches, etc.... the great thing about it is that it won't eventually turn your black plastic gray like most similar products and it isn't a 'greasy/wet' looking shine like most similar products.
