Default Cleaning Polished Alum. wheels?

Anyone have polished aluminum wheels on their JK? If so, what do you use to keep them shiny? I ran into a problem tonight when cleaning the tires...I sprayed the "westley's bleche-white" on my tires and the overspray hit my wheels and left little spots all over my wheels. I tried some "quik detailer" but that didn't work so I bought some Mother's Mag and Aluminum Polish. That worked OK, but was a major PITA to do by hand. As far as I can tell, the spots are gone.....anybody got any tips on the polished wheels?

I used to use that chemical infused wadding in a can for polishing aluminum wheels. "Never Dull" I think. Works great, but you have to keep using clean rags to get the black residue off. Non abrasive and works easily.

Most will recommend only soap and water. Never dull will actually cause it to tarnish very quickly.

Sonus Rim Bright. I use it on the wheels on my roadster. Easy to use (wet wheels, spray on, scrub with soft brush, rinse off, hand dry), works very well, and my wheels still look brand new. It's pH balanced so it won't damage the wheels.

If you can't find it locally, I order it from Autopia - fast shipping and excellent service.

I use this stuff called flitz it works great and you can get it at any auto place or boat center. It protects and cleans. Just wipe it on and off...

x2 for Never Dull. I used this to get the salt damage off my motorcycle wheels, it takes a little work, but worth it. I think the "Mother's power ball" is supposed to work pretty well too.

Never dull polish wadding won't tarnish polished aluminum. At least it never did mine.

bs. I watch people doing it all the time and if you don't continue to do regularly, it will tarnish bad. My polished aluminum wheels on a different car look just like new with only soap and water and that is after 2 years.

bs to your bs...Just where do you watch people do this "all the time"? I used it in the Spring to clean up after the winter salty roads, soap and water won't do the trick around here. Worked great, waxed 'em up, good as new. Haven't used it again since and they are perfect. If all you've ever used is soap and water than you don't drive on salty roads or your wheels are clearcoated. What you have to make sure of is that your rims don't have a clearcoat on them, if they do then the neverdull will take it off.
