Did yours do it when you rev your engine cuz mine doesn't. Only under load it does it.

Does it feel like it loses power when you hear that noise or struggles to accelerate?

No only under a load but it would go away once it was warm ... Have you ever hit your muffler on a rock or anything that's what caused mine

No rocks have hit my muffler. Took front drive shaft off still had noise. Took rear drive shaft off put in 4 high still had clicking. In 4 low no clicking. I'm assuming its my transfercase.

Hey, let us know what you find. One more problem solved is someone else's solution down the road on here.

Stock driveshafts?

I vote bad CV or U-joint. Most likely the CV joint. They'll 'click' and 'clink' and 'whirr' when going bad.

First, welcome to the forum. How many miles under mostly what kind of conditions? My first assumption is the clicking is coming from the front since it only happens when you are in 4wd, but could you confirm this? Is it only happening on one side or both? If you jack it up and turn the wheels, can you replicate the sound? Do you see grease flung on the inside of the wheel near the CV joints? Is it lifted, and if so, how high? Are the boots torn? Starting with that will take a bit, and then you might want to start your own thread, that way we can be cool and not hijack this one. Besides, you might get more responses from different people and a better sense of what's going on versus embedding it within this one. Again, welcome!!
