Also got this letter. However, mine has no light issues. So, I'll keep the letter, just in case.

For the record. It's a 2007 JKU and I'm the second owner. (technically third, since the Dealership put it in their name before changing to mine). ;-)

Default about time!

I haven't received the letter yet, but this is awesome news, I flipped the switch under the hood to kill my airbags (and the annoying chime) almost 6 months ago. I have almost worked up the courage to try and tackle it myself a couple of times. Awesome news, thanks guys!

Thanks for posting the letter. I see it covers only select model 2007 Jks. That's what I suspected. The dealer says my 2008 isn't included in the extension.

I have seen several similar letters. At least one version said 2007 left hand drive, and 2008 right hand drive.

Default NHTSA action number PE11019

If you want to se the summary of the investigation go to the NHTSA website and search for PE11019, sorry, they link you to a pdf report and I couldn't figure out how to link to the report. I tried scanning it in but couldn't get the file size small enough. Looks lke I am out of luck with my '08, but while I was there I did enter another complaint.....gotta try..

Great. My clockspring is fine, but they need to extend the fuel tank overflow issue to cover my Jeep (built Dec 07!)

Default Clock Spring warranty came through!

I've been running without airbags, horn or cruise control for almost a year now!
Didn't feel like I should be forking out the $250 for the clock spring. They finally came through!

My 2007 was around 34K when the wheel started to feel tight on a u-turn then blam; airbag light went off! No just the light, not the bag!
Brought it to the dealer yesterday and they had it done in just over an hour which included the inner fender fix too.

Thank for all those who wrote in to the man!
