Default Clunk in the steering

For all those that responded to the following thread...

Was this an audible clunk or really just something you could feel in the steering wheel. Especially at the beginning.

Thanks

Mine is not audible, I only feel it SLIGHTLY thru the steering wheel but mostly thru the gas pedal.

I have the amsoil grease but have not put it in the shaft...hopefully later this month as I'm out of town for a week.

Mine was a bump steer like feeling (no noise), and the Amsoil spray in stuff worked for me.

I can hear mine, as well as feel it through the steering wheel and brake pedal.

I just had this steering shaft grease job done at a local garage. I was experiencing a slight rattle felt in the steering wheel. I could not tell if it was the steering column or something loose in my steering linkage. My local mechanic said my linkage was all tight but I still experienced the minor loose rattle/clunk. Not audible and it was minor enough to feel but not be too concerning.

It kept bothering me untill I printed out the grease fix, gave it to my mechanic and he did it for me. I have been driving it for over a week now and am happy to say the grease completely fixed the issue.

Feel it more than hear it, but if idling at a stand still and I move the steering wheel a little back and forth is is slightly audible.
