About all these sound like what I'm experiencing, I'll have to do this within the next few weeks and see how it goes.

god and i thought i was the only one..apparently its a big issue. i went to the dealership about a month ago to have them look at it, and they replaced a couple of things to try and work it out, which it did help a little, but the big issue still is the shaft, which is on backorder..i have the lifetime bumper to bumper so he was like, hell! lets just replace everything! might as well let chrysler pay for it!

Mine said the exact opposite. He said that it wasn't coverable by the warranty and I also have the bumper to bumper.

How the hell do you have lifetime bumper to bumper? Or do you mean lifetime powertrain...?

Bumper to bumper... It was offered at the dealership I bought from. Now I am just waiting to do a mod that will void some part of it... Like the Aussie lockers I am about to install.

Geez, I hope you didn't pay extra for that. How could they not cover it? Especially when others are getting it covered under the standard 3/36 warranty? Steering shaft is not a wear product like tires or brakes.

I think it is a dealership thing because Chrysler/Jeep doesn't have any record of this being an issue. Not really sure if I should argue with them or just do the "mod". I do find it interesting to see how different dealerships deal with customer relations.

The dealer in Canada replaced the hole steering coupler today. My clunk problem is fixed. Only took like 5 weeks to get the part. It was a warranty item under the standard 3/36
