Are you talking about grinding gears or having the jeep buck out of gear?

Do you mean clutch "judder", where the clutch vibrates and causes the clutch peddle, drivetrain & sometimes the whole vehicle to shake when the clutch reaches friction point?

It's fairly common on JKs with a few miles on them, particularly when the drivetrain's cold and the air is damp (apparantly it's got to do with the metal particles in the friction material on the clutch-plate oxidising, a bit like when you've just washed a vehicle & sprayed the wheels & brake discs with water you'll notice a fine layer of rust-looking discoloration on them, which disappears when you use the brakes again)

Mine does that also but im talking about when i shift at low speed as soon as the clutch lets go there is a really loud clanking sound, sounds as if the clutch its bouncing around. i know its common in 4lo but i get it in 2hi and it seams like its getting louder and louder.

I have experienced this at times, but not all the time. Curious what the issue is too...

I used to hear a loud *CLANK* that seemed to be coming from the rear end when I would push IN the clutch pedal at low speeds in first gear. I started giving it more gas and upshifting closer to 15mph rather than 10mph. I don't notice it anymore, it may be because the engine is louder
