Default Clutch Issues

How about an all around clutch problem thread? If you've had a problem with your clutch, describe the symptoms and how you fixed it if you have been able to.

My problem is it creaks when pressed, and you can feel it in the pedal too. Today I was rinsing out under the hood with the pressure washer and when I got back in the clutch was smoother than it has been in a very long time, without the squeak too. But after a couple days it will come back, because this has happened before. So is there something I can grease to make this be permanent? Because going through a drive-thru with a creaky clutch is kinda embarrassing.

Just about 40,000 miles on my 08. No issues. The clutch squeeks occasionally but it's not something I worry about.

Sounds like it might be a bad slave cylinder.

I have 60k miles on mine. The clutch has been creaking, ticking and, squeaking since about 30k. Still runs no performance issues so my fix is to turn the radio up until I need a new clutch. Then I figure it will be easier to replace all the bearings and the slave at once.

I think my clutch has creaked on and off its whole life... Still going strong at 104K miles.

How would spraying the clutch and squeak going away be affiliated with slave cylinder? To my knowledge (and replacing) the slave is enclosed and just pushed clutch fluid into lines. I'd say it's more of pressure plate and disk, or possible flywheel. You might have debris In there or it's rusted up...
