Default Clutch Master Cylinder

I have a master cylinder that keeps popping off of the pedal. Before I buy a new one, has anyone had success getting it to stay? Thanks.

Plastic snap on is slightly broken causing the master arm to pop off. Thought about removing the pedal and drilling a screw hole and bolting the arm on with a spacer and washer. Ideas? Tie wrapped for now.

Is it possible to repair the slightly broken piece with a two part epoxy like MarineTex or JB Weld? That is surprisingly strong adhesive. I repaired a broken turn signal lever on my Trans Am decades ago (car is now a barn find I'm trying to get my son to come take) and just a couple months ago, the disk on the back of a radio microphone for which the screw threads stripped out. The latter has been holding just fine, though in the next week I'll be putting it through some heavy usage on an upcoming trip. Another option might be stainless steel zip-ties if you used the typical plastic ones.
