My 2011 Sport drives nice but i notice some bumps but it comes with the territory of a Wrangler. I have the 17" wheels on th Goodyear wrangler tire.
As for chains, i think they are reffering to the link stlye and not the cable style. I thought at first it may be due to traction control but honestly i think it is the tire manufacture's warranty. Use the wire cables instead of chain links.

If your Wrangler rides "smooth"... It's broken!!! It's a Jeep!! LOL
A comfortable ride means you need bigger tires and more lift!!! Where's the fun if you're not constantly upgrading to try and keep it driving straight ?!? (If you have a rig with mods... This should make you laugh)
