Default Coolant overflow

I noticed the other day that there was some pink color coolant on my garage floor. Is it normal for this to overflow? I see that it is able to overflow near the top of the container, but i found it odd that after owning the Wrangler for almost a year that the engine is still getting hot enough for it to overflow. I would think that the coolant amount that it was going to release would have already dripped out. Is this somthing i shoudl be concerned about?

Yes, you should look into it.
Is the bottle full? If not, you have a leak somewhere.

Referring to what Chris333 said, I too smell coolant every once in a while. No sign of leaks outside, inside, or around the heater. I can't figure it out.

It's not full and I didn't see a fill line, but it seems as if there is plenty within the main rservoir. My temperature needle stays pretty vertical on the temp gauge as well.

Where is the pink showing up? A while back I had something similar and the spud shaft between the transfer case and tranny had torn one of the seals casuign the fluid to leak out of the t-case and it was pink.

I can see where it drips onto the front differental a good bit, and i guess it dripped a few drops onto the floor from there.

no its not normal and yes you should be concerned, did you look around the engine? It maybe coming from someplace other then the overflow tank, like the thermostat housing, the radiator, the hoses? Are you sure you werent over heating when you pulled into the garage?

I shouldn't have been overheating. Like i said the needle is in the middle of the guage, and it seems to be driving fine. I'll have to look into it more when i get home.
