Default Diesel Engine Cover

Hello all euro diesel owners, just a quick question, does your engine have a plastic cover over it, as in the cherry/libity. Mine hasnt, and it seems that in the cherry it stops a lot of the diesel rattle, just wondered if yours hasnt, would a cherry one fit under the bonnet????

Mine is a german one and has no cover as well. Would like to have one as well, but i`m not sure, if this would be great for the temperature in that area ..

Well at least that means mines not missing, the engine bay on the cheery isnt any bigger, so heat should be ok, its wether theres enough room between bonnet and engine.
Need to find somebody with a JK, and Cherry to check.

Looks like the Euro Jeep Camp will be in Germany next year, ever been?

Hi, I don´t know a cherry or libity, I´sorry. Lofty, can you please tell me?

I was in the german Jeep Club till 2004, then I sold my TJ and was no member anymore. I never went to the Euro Jeep Camp ... but maybe next year

Racer, do you just want to see the engine ? I will take a picture later on .... but don´t be dissapointed

The Liberty engine cover could be done but you end up cutting half of the thing off to clear everything.

Yep, my jk diesel engine doesn't have a cover also. I'm not missing it

But do the US versions also have a yellow-top battery as we have in Europe in the diesel jk versions?
