Looks official for 2016, hopefully it's the same as the new ram engine that gets 28mpg HWY and 420lb/tq.

Too bad the price tag will likely be overpriced as it already is on a new wrangler. However I can't wait to see it.

I guess I'm not the only one that thinks this. Way over priced!

I know it's a $5,000 option on the Ram and Grand Cherokee. Plus another $500 for the heavy duty 8 speed which you have to have to go with it.

I read that to mean it will only be available with an automatic trans?

That'd be heart breaking... I can't give up my manual but I really don't want to keep this gas unless it's a V8.

I'm pretty sure the trucks are only automatic so it's hard to tell. I can't see them not offering a stick in a Jk or whatever it is by then.

Looks like I'll be doing a hemi swap instead of a new jk when the time comes. I enjoy driving my
Jeep over steering it. If jeep takes the manual away, I'll fight tooth and nail to keep my 2008 running

I'll buy it provided they bump the tow rating up to at least 5000 and they keep a straight front axle and it's the 3.0 v6.

I read very recently that Ram is the only 1/2 ton pick-up available with a manual. It was in a news article about manuals, not just a random post. Now you've just read it in a random post. ;-) But I agree it would break my heart to give up a manual just for a diesel.
