a diff question
I went with Royal Purple 75W 80
its in the manual in the back.
I believe the front D30 is less than 1 quart. 80w-90 and the rear D44 is 2 quarts 75W-140 if you are towing or other stressfull things. If you have the LSD you are supose to put an additive in also but most synthetics have the additive already in them

The synthetic oil doesn't have additive for the LSD in it already.....it has very few additives at all compared to the non-synthetics.
The reason it works is that the synthetic oil is much more slippery than the dino juice.
To clarify: LSD additive makes the LSD SLIP MORE, not less. IE: Leaving the additive OUT, makes the LSD work more like a locker. The MORE additive you add, the more wimpy the LSD will grip. The additives PURPOSE is to prevent chattering from too much locking.

We used to adjust the break-a-way torque on the LSD's that used additives, by using less and less additive, until we hit the point of diminishing return...the MOST lock up w/o chattering around corners, etc.
If planning on using the rig off road more than on road, leaving out the additive makes the rear work more like a locker.
Using synthetic oil is a great compromise, as it doesn't need any additives to allow some slip, but it allows more lock up torque to hang on before break-away is reached.

well i guess we should go sue Royal Purple and Castrol then for false advertisement. It says on the bottle that the additive for LSD not needed because its already in the the fluid
