So I have searched for other the the price tag what is the real Difference between JK Models....really the Rubicons and the Rubicon Recons.

Here is technical question what is the difference between the axles
Dana M44/216MM Front Axle VS Next Gen. Dana 44 HD Front Axle
Dana 44/226MM Rear Axle VS Next Gen. Dana 44 HD Rear Axle

I have a Recon and previously had 2 rubicons. Front axle is the real difference it has visually stouter C's and the tubes are apparently equivalent of the J8 front housing.. Rear seems to be identical as far as I know except it comes with a thicker cast diff cover.

oh and the 216mm and 226mm are just the ring gear size and those are the same. ie front 8.5" and rear 8.9"

So not the J8 Front Axle? I know the J8 can with D44 front and a D60 rear. didnt know if the Recon's Dana M44 was the J8's.....I am liking my new recon had it for a week now.

I have heard some say it is a J8 housing and others say no. I have not personally seen a J8 so not sure. I love mine too.
