Default differential oil leak

So as I'm driving today, I started smelling gear oil.. When I got out of my jeep there was gear oil all over te underside of my jeep.. It was running down right beside my shock on my driver's side and also on the big black bar to the right side of my shock (idk what it's called). I'm writing from my phone so I can't upload pictures. Anybody have any idea what the hell is going on?

Same thing happened to me, Have you been wheeling lately? If you hit the diff just right or really with any force you can break the seal on the RTV. Just drain the fluid, put some fresh stuff of your choice in there and reseal. Should fix it

Have your diffs been serviced?Check to see if your diff is overfilled. Pull off the fill plug, if its starts pouring out really fast, you know its overfilled, and was spitting excess outta the breather tube.

Thanks so much for all the help guys. I changed the oil in my differentials last summer but I went mud riding a couple days ago and got stuck so my front axle was submerged for about 25 minutes. Maybe it got water in there and overfilled? Idk but if I need to get more oil should I get 75w-90 or what?

Yep, your diff prollysucked in water through the breather, i was gonna ask if you'd been in deep water. 75-90 is good.
