Default Does JK have self locking hubs

I'm ordering a new 14 in about a month and I'm triyng to get all my ducks in a row. My last Jeep was a 85 CJ so it's been awhile. So my question to everyone is, does the JK have any kind of locking hubs or are the front hubs engaged all the time. I'm going to put a Aussie up front and need to know. I've searched lockers in front in this and other forums and have alot of info but no ones mentioned the hubs. Thanks in advance for the help!

Rubicon models have electronic lockers controlled by a switch on the dash (open when not in use) Limited slip is a option on non rubicon models. (Rear)

None of the Wrangler (YJ, TJ, JK) have had locking hubs. Would be nice. I've seen some kits for about $2,500 to convert to a locking hub setup.

2013 Wrangler Sport; 35x12.5R15 Goodyear MTR's; 18/60 Rubicon springs & shocks; Lots of trimming

JKs have unitbearings. They are engaged all the time. There is a Spyntech selectable, lockout hub upgrade you can install.

In 2wd, a front Aussie won't cause any issues because no torque is applied to it to cause it to engage. It will just click a little on turns.

Thanks for the input. I plan on a Tru-Trac in back so won't need the front unless I get into deep s--t. Gonna be a driveway queen most of the time anyway. Thanks again for the help.

Locking hubs are mostly seens on full float axles. Stock JK has non floating axles. This means the axles are always turning and also the front drive shaft. On full float axles like Dana 60, the front wheels are free to the axles so hence a manual or auto locking to lock the hubs on the front axles. It has nothing to do with Locking diff like Detroit, Eaton, ARB, etc, this is a separate feature. Spyntec seems nice and it might help to reduce fuel consumption.

Had a set on my 85 chevy pick-up that were self locking which was sweet, and I think I had locking hubs on my 85 CJ. Checked on the Syntec hubs, they look good but 1450s more than I can swing now. I want the Tru-Trc first which is bout 750, and the Aussie. I bet they'd pay for themselves with the savings on gas though.

????

Full float axles are in the rear. A full float axle has nothing to do with weather the front axle has lock-outs or not.

So much confusion here...

You can put full float axles at front or rear. Full float means the hubs and bearing are floating or separated from the axles. Locking hub are needed to lock the hubs on the axles. Locking diff is another thing not related to the locking hubs.
