Door Nuts
This may be a ridiculous question, but I think I read a few remarks saying that people do not replace the door nuts after putting the doors back on. Sure would save time when taking the doors on/off!
Is this so?

I leave em off to make it easier to get them on and off. I do keep them in the center consol in case I have to park in shady area, I can reinstall to make it harder to steal them. I hardly ever go anywhere with any crime though. Nobody is going to be able to steal them at my house, I got a big dog who is very protective of house and barks when anyone is on property, and my GP100 is some added insurance.
I removed mine and haven't put them back on. The way I see it is if they want them they are going to take them anyways. I usually leave my doors unlock so they dont cut the softop to get in. I'd rather them reach in, grab what they want, and leave. The only expenisve thing I have in my jeep are a few tools for that "just in case" emergency.
The only good thing about someone stealing the doors would be an excuse to buy tube or half doors to replace them.

The first time they came off the Jeep they went into the toolbox and have not made an appearance since. I've never understood why someone would steal a door. If they wanted something smaller and of value, they could take my Lightforces or something on the exterior.
I leave them off when I run my full doors but I put them on for the halfs. Otherwise I end up pulling up the half-door when I trying to just remove the upper (windows). The posts for the uppers are still pretty damn tight.

half doors. may be someday.
