Default Door removal

Just read the instructions on removing the doors, and it says to remove the hinge bolt retainer, but does not tell you how to go about this. I hesitated to begin as I don't want to screw something up.

You need a torx wrench and unscrew the bottom nuts off the hinges of the doors. Once you got that done place the nuts somewhere save where you will find them again.

Roll down all your windows, Unlock the electrical plugs for each door - it will be a red clip you slide over to unlock (power locks and windows). Then unhook the doors strap from the hooks. Hold onto the front doors as you do this or you may have a dimple on your front panel!

Final step get a good grip of the door and swing the door back and forth and at the same time in a pulling up motion pop up the door off the hinge. Once you got the door off...spray some WD-40 to help with the removal next time.

To make the door easier to remove once you take off the hinge nute, swing the door out about 45 degrees before pulling up and out on the door.

Be careful with the door after you disconnect the limiting strap (the web thing with the wiires in it), if the door swings to far forward your mirror will dent your cowl.

Plus when putting them back on its best to have someone guide you in lining up the hinges. Its all very easy but if you can't get it lined up right the 1st few times the door starts to feel really heavy. But it can be done by one but for the 1st time have someone guide so you know what to expect
