Door Removal Aftermarket Side Mirrors
Hello, I cant decide what mirrors are good and what are bad and I figure a lot of you have tried them already. My issue is I dont care if I get the ones that go in the hinge but I hear they mess up your paint and wobble/vibrate a lot which I dont want then I see you can get the ones that connect to the window frame and you can leave the bracket and remove the mirror and arm but then I have a bracket left behind... So what brands and models are good that I can give a try? On a side note for aftermarket stuff (This is my first Jeep) what brand is made good and priced good?
Thanks!!

I have the Rugged Ridge ones that mount via a bracket on the a-pillar and then quickly disconnect with 1 knob. Leaving the bracket mounted full time does not bother me one bit, but my doors are off/on a decent bit. I will say 2 things.....1) I generally don't care for Rugged Ridge products, and 2) the length of the poles on those are way too long. Mine are cut shorter with a new hole drilled in to the arm to keep the mirror closer to the jeep. They work well for me, and are on/off quickly.
That said, I know a lot of people that are perfectly fine with a little round, convex mirror stuck on the outter most air vent. I personally don't feel that option allows me to see as much as I'd like. I also think the ones that side in the door hinge would be too low for my liking.
Updating with a picture of mine since finally figures out how to enbed from Google Drive. Little hard to see due to my dark interior, but they are tucked quite a bit closer than RR originally intends. I tighten them down pretty firmly and they don't move when driving 80mph on the interstate...maybe vibrate just a little due to wind force. If I brush by something on a trail, I'll have to push it back out from time to time.

I just got the JustAddMudd Mirrors. So far I'm really happy with them. They drop in the hinge and are held by a rare earth magnet. They are a little pricey but they are easy to install, won't mess up your paint and don't require a bracket.
I have the smittybilt round version. I needed them in a pinch and the Smittybilts were all I could get a hold of in time. They have a bracket on the A Pillar like the Rugged Ridge ones and I think they are essentially the same mirror. I leave the bracket on but will prob take them off in the winter as it takes only a few minutes to install/uninstall. No complaints with mine so far. The do kinda whistle a bit at highway speeds and they stick out pretty far.
