Default Door surounds question

Does anybody make just the top part of the rear door surrounds?

I often run with top up and no doors (or just half doors).
To keep the top up- all I really need is the hinge clip and a bit of rail. The big part that folds is cumbersome to store- one small piece would easier.

Yeah I just looked. It is kinda pricey. Have you checked the bill boat to see if anyone is selling take-offs?

I don't see your dilemma ? The plastic rails can be left in to keep the soft top on with no doors.

For cosmetic appearance, if it's the plastic VERTICAL rail at the rear you don't like, it can be removed --- the L-shape plastic rail has a push-in metal bolt, remove that and the L seperates into two parts, and you reinstall the horizontal upper to secure the soft top.

Ok, you're telling me something I hadn't caught- the bolt is push in and can be removed ?
I thought it was permanently put together.

It wasn't just appearances- it's bulky to carry (I don't leave them on with the top down)

The metal bolt doesn't screw in, it isn't threaded. It pushes in and is tight. I used locking pliers and a flat-head screwdriver to pry it out.
