Default Door Surrounds

So I bought my JK from Olathe Dodge in Kansas, at the end of June of this year. It was listed with dual top package. I went out and picked it up, and asked about it having a soft top they said they would get what it had in it to me. So I left and went back to IL. Waited a week and called. They said the would get it to me. So time went on, and I never heard back called again and he left me on hold, emailed him and he never emailed me back. So the stealership I guess won.

Any Suggestions on still getting it from them or am i at a loss. I have a few bolts and screws and other hardware they left in the tirejack compartment. Or could I get some guidance on where to find some door surrounds, and or the rest of the hardware. thanks.

$1400 seems like a lot of money to let the dealer "win". That's what a new one will cost (just the top). Get on them until they deliver!

Not sure why the soft top wasn't inside the hardtop on delivery - mine was. If your build sheet says "Dual Top Group", don't give up the fight!

x2 if it was on the sticker, dont just give up. If you owed them I'm sure they wouldn't just give up. If it says dual top group they have to give it to you. The boxes should have been in the back seat when you picked it up in the first place, as someone mentioned earlier.

Was it bought new from the Dealer? If so demand it - if it was used then I'm afraid you're out of luck unless you had it in writing.

If you bought a new vehicle, they can't sell it to you without the complete package as stated on the window sticker--that's federal law. Read it, then let your dealer know that you are familiar with the federal law and will not accept anything but total compliance on their part (about halfway down the page, as well as near the bottom of the page):

15 USC CHAPTER 28 - DISCLOSURE OF AUTOMOBILE INFORMATION

It's known as the Monroney Law, BTW, named after Mike Monroney, a Democratic senator from Oklahoma who sponsored the original law.

Take one with a soft top in it for a test drive and strip the soft top out of it! (might not be a good idea but I would be tempted in your situation!! )
