I dont think you will be able to run soft without the surrounds at a minimum. the tailgate bar you could run with out but the rear window would flap.

I would take it back and ask if they have a mental illness. That's like buying a brand new t.v. with no cord. Just doesn't make sense.

Should have all been in the boxes that were tucked away in the back of your JK when you bought it! You can't use the soft without them, unless of course its down all the time.....good luck with the weather.

this dealership has given me a run for my money so far. bought it off a toyota lot, sold it to me with a dry transmission, blew out the input shaft and first gear bearing, slave cyl went. warranty i purchased with it wouldnt cover any repairs. My dad and I had the transmission out of it for the past 2 months working on it on my days off, finally got it back 2 days ago, now this. haha

That's just madness. You would at least assume "as is" meant in reasonable operating condition such that all lubricants were present to at least some acceptable degree.

I think eventually you'll want them, but since you bought this used you're going to have to pay for them yourself unless you have some reason to believe that the vehicle was misrepresented (check out your state laws for warranty for merchantability and fitness). If you have proof (such as an advertisement describing the vehicle as having a softtop), you might win concessions in small claims court. Even the threat of that might be sufficient to get the dealer to cooperate with you.

I run with out the door surrounds on my 4 dr, the soft top was given to me by a friend. I looked into the surrounds but saw no point in buying them since I run without the door in the summer. But as mentioned if you got it NEW from the dealer ship then you should have them.
