Default doorless with soft top on and windows removed?

This seems like a win on a slow stop and go rush hour commute home in 90 degree sun.

Will the top become a parachute if at speed?

No issues for me in that configuration. Spent most of last week like that.

No problems on highway.

This sounds great, I just picked up a factory softtop for my JK. Installed it tonight, it even has tinted windows.

Welcome!

Absolutely no problem with the doors off, windows out, and top up.

You may want to tie up your sail panels. They tend to flap at speeds. But it's not mandatory.

I run like this quite a bit, never had the sail panels pop out on me, but I have an unlimited
personaly I like the mesh safari for these situations, it cuts the sun, but does not absorb the radiant heat like the solid top...in other words it is cooler with the mesh top

Never had them actually pop off either. They just flap a little in the brease.

Tying them up may help a little with gas milage. They look like they can induce a lot of drag.

But in all honesty, I have never tied mine up.

That mesh safari top is worth considering.

When you run without doors and the soft top up, do you take the door frames out? Just wondering if this matters to have the top tucked in to them?

Leave the door frames on... no point to take them off if you did it would just make the top floppy and messy looking.
