Default Driver Seat

Anyone experiencing a clunking in the drivers side seat...almost like the seat is coming loose? Happens a lot going over pumps and taking bumpy turns. Just curious!!
I heard the seats are bolted down like an SOB so I can't see them coming loose but who knows.

I hear a rattle in mine too, but I think mine is coming from where the seatbelt is bolted in.

no rattles in mine but I can attest that those seats are bolted in very well

Try wrapping some electrical tape around the door latch pin where the latch hits it. That thing knocks on bumps but it will sound like it's in places other than the latch area.

Mine clunks too, but is due to wreck damage. Insurance company's suck. Mine is coming from the seat back where it meets the seat bottom.

My drivers side seat does this too all the time. Not sure why. I tried rocking the seat back and forth with a lot of force but I couldn't reproduce the sound and the seat felt firmly bolted to the body.

That leads me to believe the clunk is happening in the height adjustments section of the seat (since the passenger seat doesn't make the clunk, and does not have the height adjuster).

I have the same problem. My door is taped and silent. The seat clunks when making turns hard or soft. It's driving me nuts.

update: my girlfriend said that my passenger seat makes the same noise too. So it can't be the height adjustment.

seriously wrap one round of electrical tape around the door striker loop on the body itself.. not on the door.. wrap the complete loop.. do it on both sides of the jeep..

sounds wierd.. but it stops a cliunk that sounds like its coming from the seats and / or door pillars...

kudos t owhoever came up with that fix..

My doors all already have the electrical tape done to them, but my seat still clunks?
