Driver Seat
seriously wrap one round of electrical tape around the door striker loop on the body itself.. not on the door.. wrap the complete loop.. do it on both sides of the jeep..
sounds wierd.. but it stops a cliunk that sounds like its coming from the seats and / or door pillars...
kudos t owhoever came up with that fix..

Mines doing the same thing now for 2 x days.
P.S. this is with no doors so that definitely isn't the problem.
I found out what ours was.
My wife and I went on a night run. Nice and calm outside no traffic, wind etc..
Would be very randon etc.. like you guy's have said.
Problem is when it does make a sound it is really really hard to pin point where it is coming from.
But we got it.
Not sure if the seat set up is the same in AUS and the US.
By this I mean the same seats and not the stearing wheel on different sides of the JK.
Our drivers seat has 2 x springs underneath the seat.
1 x spring on each end of the base of the seat.
These springs when going over bumps seemed to rattle and bang against the railings that allow you to move the seat forward and back.
So I got a tea towel, cut it in half and placed each half over the top of the springs so that it could not rattle or bang against the rails.
So far 2 x days and all is calm.
No noise what so ever.
When I checked the front passanger seat it is a different set up underneath than the drivers seat. It does not have these 2 x springs what so ever.

My driver's seat did the same thing. I took out the seats and floor brackets to grind down and line-x the brackets since they were already rusting. I lubed every hinge point, etc on the seat mechanism before I re-installed it.
No more seat clunk.
