Default drivers side exhaust manifold

I have decided to tackle this replacement myself. I should have the replacement today. I haven't been able to find any write ups on the install. It looks pretty straight forward to remove but I want to make sure if the motor mount needs to be loosened / unbolted or engine raised. Going to replace Saturday. Thanks

Check the dealer on that. My passenger side cracked and they replaced it under warranty at 52k miles. Something about emissions having an 80k warranty.

I guess it's worth a call but I already have a new manifold in a fedex box in my garage.

What caused the manifold to crack? Is your converter clogged?

Mine was an exhaust leak noise that got my attention. Then one night after I got home from work I noticed the manifold was glowing. Talked to the dealer about it and he said that it was the air bing sucked into the crack that was causing the glow. Emissions are covered for 80k. Evidently there was a bad batch of manifolds and is not uncommon for them to crack.

I am dealing with this now. However, when I called Don-A-Vee where I purchased my Jeep the service writer guy smugly replied that the manifold is NOT covered under any type of warranty. It seems I am getting conflicting info on this. Can anyone point to where, anywhere it is stated that the manifold are covered under this 80K Fed emissions thing?

Thanks
