Had a strange experience today with my 07 2-door X. All the electronics in the cabin dropped out but the engine continued to run without any problems. I noticed the radio cut-out first and then noticed all the gauges stopped working. Moments later all the gauges and idiot lights came on, then the idiot lights all cleared one-by-one . . . engine didn't miss a beat . . ? ? ? Has anyone experienced this kind of problem?

 

Kinda sounds like the stall bug... mine did that at first and then it started affecting the engine the more it did it. Has it been flashed for the for the Stall Bug TSB?

 

I'm not sure GroundRat, I picked it up used a couple of months ago with 2,700 miles on it from a resort. This is the first time it acted like this (now at 4,200 mi). I guess if it does it again i'll have to drop buy the dealer for a check . . . Do you know if this event will throw an DTC code?

 

I had it happen once for a second. I didn't bother with it because nothing has come of it since.

 

yeah it happened to me once in my 07 2dr X, i was driving home from swim practice gettin dark and rainging outside going around an odd S curve when everything went down except the engine, steering got tight and i slowed down to a near stop (no traffic in country) and then everything came back on and it has never happened since, if it happens again i'll have it flashed for the stall bug but no problems since knock on wood

 

I have noticed this twice on mine. Once on a high speed freeway (scary). Anyone have a link for this stall bug thing?

 

anyone else notice that all of us have 2doors, mostly x models too....

 

i had this happen too... i dropped it off at the dealer, just so there was some sort of record of it, and the only thing they said the computer showed them was i had an after market stereo in it, and no other issues. They had heard about it happening and the engine stalls (stall bug) but not where the engine still keeps on running.

either way, it was 8000 km ago and hasn't happened since. Oh, and i have an 07 2dr X as well

 

ok now im curious. Is it just a 2dr x problem or what?!
