Yep, had vehicle stall in various conditions. Went to dealer, they reprogrammed the TIPM and it has never done it again. If I were you I would just get it done. Because it is free and because if you haven't seen it yet you probably will later.

It is caused by the computer getting confused and rebooting. All of my stalls lasted a couple of seconds. The problem is that there was no pattern. One time it was taking off from a stop sign going around a curve, the next it was traveling 60 on a straight flat road. While your looking at it why don't you have them check to see if your steering stabilizer is on backwards. I am pretty sure mine is.

There's an abundance of piss & moan threads about this, i posted repeatedly in them myself. There are also a ton of speculative threads on this(if we didnt merge them all together, we might have, i forget), so i really dont know where to direct you other than to say get the G25 recall done if it applies to your vehicle, (depending on your build date. ) if it was already done there will be a decal under the hood with it written on. it would appear similar to this one:

(the above one was for the ludicrously ineffective 18-036-06 flash)

This is the G25 one:

I had the stall bug, and BAD. As was mentioned above, it progressed slowly and increased in frequency until it became dangerous IMO. I had the first "flash" done, and one for the radio cutting out. those didnt help at all, the Recall mentioned was done, and it hasnt happened since.

There was no rhyme or reason to it. it effected all wranglers. 2dr, 4dr, power group, non power group, standard, auto... every one. We never did find any real pattern to it at all.

This is the G25 Recall letter:

Oddly, my Jeep didn't qualify for the recall, however I have had two minor drop outs (just for a second or two) since I've had it. If it happens again I am going to take it in for a flash.

It is based on manufacturing date. Which i think is complete BS as a lot of people who fell outside of their time stamp where having identical problems.

My JK was built after the build date for the flash. Mine has stalled twice while driving. I've got a 2 door X with no power group, just air. Once more and in it goes, date or no date.

2 door JK here also, same problem. I noticed it first a few months after I purchased the JK. I was driving around a corner and shifted from 3rd to 2nd gear and didn't quite give it enough gas so it bogged a bit. When this happened, I noticed the radio seemed to turn off but the engine was still running. It happened again a few months after that. Then there were the 2 recall notices I receieved from Jeep to reset and reprogram, once that was done I havn't had another issue with it.

I am sorry to hear that.
I had hoped when this waned off last year we had seen the last of it.

For what it is worth, i have a 2dr Sahara without the power group(just air) ~ but to date we havent seen any correlation between options at all, it seems to be randomly effecting every conceivable combination.
