Mine didn't come with one either,
however I noticed that it called for one on the window sticker, so I asked.
we found out,

You had to have your JK ordered before October 28 to have the light,
after Oct. 28 no light (mine was ordered on Oct. 13).
There was no explanation but the mechanic saw this kind of thing before.
They were happy enough to put one in and even had it in stock
(that surprised me)

This was was for a JK "X"

Good Luck

It was probably in stock because it is the same as on the TJ.
Looks just like my 05's

I just noticed there is no footwell courtesy lamp either. Jeep.com says that is also standard equipment.

the factory forgot to install mine on my X (s package where it is included) as well as the footwell courtesy lamps (don't really care about these, but since i paid for 'em i'm getting them). tell your dealer, they'll take care of it.

I have the underhood light but i am missing the footwell courtesy lights that are listed on my window sticker. they are part of the power convenience group.
I wonder if they have to run a whole new wire for that (additional harness) or if its just plug in. if its plug in, i will do it myself. if not i am not very excited about them having to wire it up. does anyone one know?

Does anyone have a picture of the footwell lights? Now for a new one. Cargo tie down loops. Where are these? Maybe it's just for the 4dr as there is not much cargo room in the 2dr. I just used the brackets that hold the seat in for tying to. They are listed on Jeep.com standard features.

The cargo tie down loops are under little, hard to see, flaps on the carpet.

Wow! I just checked my X that we picked up about 3-weeks ago, and it has all the wiring, but no light. I'm going to call my dealer right now.
