We got our X in November 2006. It didn't have one when it arrived but as soon as we noticed, we called our dealership and they ordered one and put it in for us when it arrived at no charge. I understand that it used to be standard for all JK's but at some point Jeep stopped listing it as a standard item. I don't recall what the exact cut-off date was for this change.

Not to hijack the thread, but is the black sound pad standard on all JK's? I have an X build in Nov. Doesn't have the lights (hood or footwell), or the black pad under the hood.

My Sept build X 2-dr came with driver footwell lamp, under hood pad, and under hood lamp... well not the under hood lamp... it had the wiring harness but was missing the lamp, so had the dealer order and install the+
lamp. Some else musta been missing the lamp and "acquired" mine while it was sitting on the lot.

 

No they used the last of the lamps before the last of the harnesses with that branch circuit on it.
