Default ESP/BAS & traction control lights on??

Was on my way to work this morning and heard the "ding" that you get for a low fuel light. When I checked my dash the "esp/bas" light was on and so was the traction control light. I tried pushing the traction control button on/off to see if it would do anything, but the light stayed on?? Jeep seemed to drive/run fine, but something had to "trip" those lights for a reason. If anybody has any clue I'd appreciate some insight. Tried to search using "esp" as a search criteria, but didn't seem to narrow it down to what I was experiencing. Almost forgot...jeep is 100% stock...no superchips, suspension, tires/wheels, messing with the wiring to turn off anything, etc. Maybe thats the root of the problem....not enough modding!!

Thanks for any help!

Had this happen to me yesterday on my 2010 with less than 5000 miles on it on my way to work on the highway at 60mph. I stopped to get breakfast and when i restarted my jeep the lights were still on, made a left turn and the went out. Now I cannot reproduce the problem???????? All I have installed is a Teraflex Leveling kit.

My JK is lifted and extensively modified. This has happened to me several times when the steering wheel is slightly off center (usually after an off road adventure) and there is a cross wind. Counter steering into the cross wind will further move the steering wheel off center and result in the ding and warning lights you describe. I just push the button on the center stack a couple of time and one of the warning lights goes out. After the wind stops blowing or I dig the AEV Procal out of the glove box and recenter the steering, both warning lights go off by themselves.

Might just have to take it in & get it checked out. Haven't been off-road in it, there was no wind, was driving about 20mph (coming to a stop). Alignment seems to be fine, I can let go off the wheel at any speed and it tracks straight?? Dunno....like the stickers say, "It's a jeep thang, you wouldn't understand!" Might have more truth than ANY of us realize!

same thing happened to me. on the drivers side where the cable goes out to the wheel, the strap that was supposed to hold it in place had actually rubbed it in half.

Being a new JK owner, this happened to me today. It happened when I was getting the freeway on a Clover-Leaf style on-ramp. The TCS light flashed on/off a few times, and then the ESP/BAS light came on and stayed on until I reached my destination. When I started it back up, no light.

Is thing a normal thing? I have a 3" Fabtech and 33x12.5's

Suggestions?

Thank You! I'll be taking it to have them take a look at it
