My vote is relocate for free but like I've said before both are good options.

Free evap relocation

Relocating the canister does not void the warranty ! it is a factory part and by law it will be serviced under the warranty . you might have to fight for it but in the end the federal law (magnuson-moss act) guarantees it

If you damage something from negligence it most likely won't be covered under warranty anyhow. Like creasing a fender flare wheeling and telling the dealer you want a new one. Probably not going to happen. But I haven't seen any cases of them (evap canister) failing unless you crush or crack it. Mines been relocated for a while now and I haven't had any problems. None. I did drop on a rock at Uwharrie that settled right where the evap used to be. May have slid off the evap skid and lodged directly behind it. Instead I had room to manuver and work out the problem.

I spent the $$, did the 2.5 minute install, and bought the skid from Northridge.

Since this has come up yet again, here's my take on evap canisters.

If you don't like to work on your Jeep and/or are not mechanically inclined and don't mind spending a little extra money, then skid it.

If you like working on your Jeep and want to save some dough, buy my relocate kit. The instructions alone are worth the money.

The warranty issue is dead. I guaranty that you won't have any warranty issues. If your dealer ever gives you a hard time about it, I'll work with them and if necessary pay to have the issue resolved. I've sold over 500 of these kits and have not had a single problem.

. . . well, it took me 2 months, but I finally replaced the integrity module part#04891685AA (thanks sixt7gt350!! that made it a fast trip to the dealer!)

I was able to save the O-ring from the old one and everything fit together nicely. Unfortunately, the check engine light is still on with the same trouble code. Is there an easy way to get rid of the code? my scanner is supposed to delete the codes but it appears to delete for a second then come right back.

the code will go out, given a little bit of time.

You can also dis-connect the battery for a minute and re-connect and the light should go out. If not, then there may be a code that kicked and needs to be cleared. Most any ODBC code check can clear the code.

shameless self promotion. My evap relo kit is $70. And there's a bundle with the steering stabilizer relocation kit for $85. Not to mention the stainless steel adapter plate fuel proof hoses etc. but the instructions are worth the cost alone.
