Evaporative Canister
My local service manager relocated his. I've run this accross everybody that I know at a dealership and they have all agreed that there is zero change in function of a relocated evap canister, therefore they wouldn't see any issue with warranty. Heck my local service manager even relocated his.
If there was a problem, it takes all of about 15 minutes to move it back to the stock location. Sure it is only attached with two bolts instead of 3, but I ran my rig that way for two months to test it out.
Ok, I picked up my canister from the dealer for a mere $57. Took it home and found how easy it was to install. Now the "gascap" indicator and check engine light are still on. They said it could be up to a week before they clear.
What's everyone think about the Rock Hard Evap Canister Skid plate??

It's only $99 bucks and attaches to the frame.

Think I'll just build my own for that price for a 1/4 the price of mat'l and as stout if not stronger. Thanks for the link.
doesn't take a week, if they knew what they were doing they'd clear your codes on the PCM at the dealership. Not sure if this will work on a JK, does on GM, undo your positive battery, leave it for about 15mins, hook it back up, should be cleared. There is no "week" wigi-board BS to clear your codes.
