Default Factory remote start key

Hey guys. I've done a search and haven't had much luck.

My question is this... If you order the remote start FROM the factory when the vehicle is ordered... is the button for the engine start ON the key? Or is it seperate?

If it is included on the key, can anyone provide a picture? Thanks!

I have the factory remote starter and mine isn't on the key. It came with a second unit that I have to use to start it. And how did you turn off the honk. I start mine early in the morning and I think my neighbor is starting to hate me.

Yeah I am. I took it down there and even asked if I got a new key with the starter on it and they said no and that it was a second unit. I hope its Mopar considering I took it the Jeep dealership by my house and had it installed.

That does seem to make sense. Oh well, guess I'm stuck with two units.

2007 model is a key fob, the 2008 is built into the key. I have a 2008 unlimited by I went with the 2007 key fob model its good for 800ft while the 2008 built into the key is good for 300ft. Its in the owners manual of your 2008 jeep.

Default turn off honk

Check your owners manual,it tells you how to turn off the honk when starting as well as the buzzers for the door open and seatbelt alarms.

also you can download pdf version of your owners manual to read on computer and it also lets you search the manual
