Fender cleaning
Some guy on another forum gave me the tip to try Penetrol, where he does boat restoration and car detailing for a living and swore by it. Tired of all the other crap that cost a bunch of money and only lasts up to 2 months, I decided to give it a shot since it seemed like some out of the box thinking. I have been highly impressed, and for about $10-$15 for a can of Penetrol, I don't think I'll ever use anything else.
Also last summer I decided to wax my windows of my soft top to get some of the mild scratches out and I had gotten some wax on the vinyl around the edges of the window section using my polisher. I couldn't get that damn wax off the soft top vinyl, even after taking soap and a scrub brush to it multiple times. I decided this spring to try wiping some of that Penetrol on it by putting it on a rag, and it cleaned that wax right off with hardly any effort and made my soft top exterior look like new. So it works on our soft tops and can be used as a cleaner as well.
A product intended for different uses, that goes on easy, cleans and restores plastic trim back to black, lasts the test of time while not having all the marketing hype surrounding it with the associated high price tag. I know it sounds too good to be true, but now that I've tried it, I swear by it.
They carry it in the painting supply section.

Rednroll-
My brother works at a paint shop so I think I'll be able to get a can of the Penetrol, thank you for that tip! Were you able to actually get any scratches out of the windows? I've got a premium top now and the windows are scratched (too tight of a trail). I'd rather buff the windows a little if I can instead of installing my spare soft top.

The wax seemed to help, where the windows went from a slighty dull and hazey look, to a nice and shiny look. I didn't have any deep scratches, just kind of light surface brush mark type of scratches where the wax seemed to help get rid of those.

I have used Aerospace 303 twice a year since I purchased my 2011 Wrangler. My plastic bumpers, fenders, door handles, and trim looks like new (shiny black) since day one. I spread it on with a foam applicator, let it sit for an hour, then apply a second coat. Works every time.
