I have an 08 unlimited x haven't done any engine work to it in the way of mods...2 weeks ago my engine light came on so i took it and the mechanic said that it was a vacumn piece that had broke and dust was causing it to become blocked. It was replaced and then all was fine for 2 days and took it back and he said more dust had gotten in so they cleaned the entire line. and said if it comes back on wait 3 days and it will go off...bullshit. It runs fine though. SECOND: GASCAP light came on what the hell is this? THIRD: The shifter area (manual) gets really really hot when the windows are down and i am in traffic or driving anywhere. You can feel the heat radiating off the gear box area by your legs on both sides of the truck. I have taken it to the dealer and they said nothing was wrong, but something is wrong...has anyone had this happen to their truck? It also heats up all the way to the cupholders depening on how long i have been driving!!! FOURTH: I put larger tires on and they did not have the TPMS system on them, is there anyway to get that flat tire light off without buying the new TPMS devices?

A Superchips Flashpaq will get rid of the TPMS problem and give you a little more drivability to boot. If the Gascap lights comes on for two consecutive starts, it will throw the malfunction indicator lamp (check engine) as well. I battled the Gascap light from the day I drove my Jeep off the lot (brand new) for many many months and several dealer visits. They replaced my gas cap once, and my evap twice. It turned out to be a bad connector on the evap. All is good now.
