Default Final Decision on Steps!

It took awhile, but I have finally decided on a pair of steps for my new 2012 Jeep. After taking into consideration that I will never be doing any real off-roading, other than maybe light trails, and that I still wanted something sort of a rugged looking but practical as well, I decided on the Aries Big Step 4" tube, model 231007TB, finished in textured black paint. Amazon had them at a great price that included shipping. No one else was even close price wise. If your needs are similar to mine, take a look at the Aries line. The quality is fantastic and they went on without a hitch. They come in polished stainless steel as well, if that floats your boat.

That's a big set of steps man, nice and tough looking too. I went with some Rugged Ridge Nerf Bar steps, very similar look, but they're like 3" I think

Looks tough. Are the footsteps steel too or is it plastic?

I did the retractable rock rails on mine. Makes it easier for the kids to get in but they tuck out of the way when not needed.

The pads are plastic or rubber, not sure which.

Looks great, now it's time to get that thing higher off the ground to take advantage of those new steps.
