Finally for my Squeeky JK friends
Well mine went in at 7:00 this morning for the G40 and the clutch disc replacement. Can't wait to see the response to the headers and supercharger. I had the squeek documented before the power adders. Let you know how it turns out later.

My purchasing dealer is no longer my servicing dealer for just that reason. That and the service department was filled with chuckleheads...
Well I took mine in yesterday and I brought the TSB. The svc mngr wanted to go on a ride to see if he could "doublicate" the problem. Sure enough he did and when we got back he said I can't just go replacing parts, you have to leave it here and we'll have a mechanic look at the transmition....WTF I'm not the only one w/that problem and they still act stupid about it
Now he's going to have some retard "look" at it and I bet you something new will go wrong as soon as I drive out of there

Well they got mine back to me in one day and no more squeak, the clutch feels better and all works well. No scratches or dings and clean. I did get the "we can't warranty your Jeep anymore because of the supercharger putting too much power in the driveline" speech. I reminded them that they can only enforce that on driveline related problems but anything else was still a warrantable item and they agreed. I can accept that, I knew it was likely when I put the SC on. After the speech, they had to tell me how cool my Jeep was with the mods

My squeak is still gone, but I have a clicking/buzzing sound now that goes away if you press the clutch slightly. Since they will not warranty my driveline anymore, I sure want to make sure they did not hose anything up with the clutch replacement. I didn't have this noise before and the only time I've seen it before on other vehicles is when there is the wrong preload adjustment on the clutch arm. I think I better get it back in and get it documented and looked at.

Hello everyone,
I had my jeep in today for the safety recall for the brakes and replacing a window seal, and I had mentioned to them about the TSB on the clutch plate.
Of course, when I got back they said they could not duplicate the sound so I went for a ride with the service manager. I rode the brakes a little to put load on it and found that "sweet spot" where the sound was the loudest. Right after he heard it, he had me pull over and he popped the hood. He told me it sounded like the alternator was making the sound, so he unplugged it (the little locking cable on the side) and had me take him back to the shop.
And wouldn’t you know it... the sound was gone. He wasn’t able to give me a reasonable explanation other than I was hitting the right load to make the sound frequency the loudest. He told me not to worry about it, but now that it is documented, if it goes out I’m covered.
Just thought I would post that here, if any of you have this work done and still have the sound, or are worried about having your tranny yanked out and want something else to try.
Let me know if this is the same for anyone else, of if I just happen to have the one squeaky alternator.
