My Bestop for the YJ did the same thing, they just didn't put much weld on there. I fixed it even though it was under warranty, it was easy to grind it back a little and weld it up.

I think Bestop makes the factory top hardware too, unless Jeep picked up another vendor recently.

They are total junk. Mine is in a million pieces and it's a year and half old. Only half of the fasteners are in place it's amazing I can even get it to work. I got the top after I bought the Jeep so I can't get it fixed under warranty.

this is what i was thinking, I'm actually selling my hardtop because I don't see the need for it, but i have a two door!!

Ive had mine for over two years now. The only thing I have done is replace the windows with tinted ones. Never had a problem with it so far and it's been on and off the Jeep multiple times.
