Default F'ing soft top SUCKS!

So tonight me and the wife go to put the soft top on our '09 Ruby. This top has been used a grand total of 1 MONTH last summer before we put the hard top back on for winter. Get the side pieces on no problem. Screw the mounts to the rollbar. Start to lift the top up to fix in place and I hear a CRACK! One of the support bars on the left side BROKE both welds! Unbelievable. The top still looks brand new but Jeep decides to make due with some sorry ass welds that don't hold worth squat.

Pics to follow....

I think the JK soft tops are, for the most part, quite durable.

Be glad you don't have a CJ.

I got one, my rear zipper screwed up once and they fixed it. "screwed up again" and I got a new top and rear window.

Sorry to hear that happened to you. Has to be frustrating.

And the really aggravating part is that we are careful putting the damn thing on!

Kinda miss not having a soft top, but the freedom top is super easy and fast to put on and take off, that I'm fine with the top on in the winters, then it's off for the whole Summer.
Super Fast
