Make sure you are all the way engaged in gear. (of course). Second maybe a upgraded fluid would help the situation. I've run royal purple syncromax since 1000 miles, never had that issue myself..

I've seen on the forums that, that has worked for some people. So that is the best I can suggest. I changed all my fluids at 1,000miles to Synthetic and have never had a pop out, so I can't give you a comparison.

If it is fully in gear, it should NOT pop out of gear regardless of the fluid you are running. Does it always do it? Is it consistent?

This is a sign of serious problems in the syncros. Take it in and have it checked. It should still be under warranty, right?

I would think an overhaul is in order, but have the experts check it out. If the dealer is a PITA, take it to Aamco or something to get an opinion.

It has happened to alot of people..it happens to me when it is cold out..it is the lower shift boot being alittle tight and when cold it is stiff so it pops it out of gear..I'm used to it, but you could ask the dealer to look at it.

OK I understand if the shifter boot is in the way, but how would fluid fix that? He also says it happens after he has been driving a while.

Like I said, unless it is not all the way in gear (which I have done about 3 times), I think it is a problem. If it only pops out of gear when torque is applied, and everything is all warmed up, I read a problem.

But hey, if there is a simple solution, then I am all for it.
