Default Fix for the "chirp"?

I had an appointment at the dealer to get my squeaky throw out bearing fixed this comming Thursday, after they diagnosed it last week and ordered the parts. Today the service manager phoned me at work and explained that he just got word from DC that they have a fix for my "secondary" complaint, being the chirp when shifting gears. I asked him what the fix is and he said he din't know exactly but the parts are in the en route to his dealership, and asked that I re schedule my appointment so they can fix both things at the same time when the parts arrive. Also last week when I dropped the Jeep off to be checked, they had it all day, and it hasn't done the extended crank thing since, which was also one of my complaints. It used to do it at least twice a day before. Looks like things are looking up for us 07 owners. I'll keep you posted.

I know i've been checking everyday on the site, I think I'll cheer the day I see the fix.. talked to my dealer yesterday, all he said is "they know about the issue" (DC)

Keep us posted if you find out more info.. see if you can get a tsb # off him

Ohhh.. this sounds promising, but I won't get too excited yet.
Good work! Let us know how it turns out, and get as many details as you can!
Thanks!

Yeah, we've heard the "fix is coming soon" line since May.

Default Parts/Service List?

Any chance you could post a Parts/Labor/Service list of what your dealer did? My dealer is not very creative, but if I can bring them some docs (even printed forum posts) they are very responsive and helpful.

Thanks in advance...

I didn't convince him he heard the Chirp and he said he could replicate the noise while it was on the lift... said it was some kind of alloy contamination.. said the engineers were aware and working on the fix...
