Default freedom panels without hard top

I searched I really did
any way, my question is. the tabs at the back of the freedom panel that are flipped when running the panels with no hard top.
when I flip the tabs over they partially cover the bolt hole , am I missing something ?
or am I flipping them the wrong way I haven't run with the panels on and no hard top yet but I would like too.

Here is a photo (not my image, I found it using google image search) of a freedom panel with the tab flipped up, or down depending on your point of view. If you are covering a bolt hole you are doing something wrong. Hope this helps

If you are talking about the hole close to the arrow. That's the hold down screw hole. It goes through the roll bar into the top. It has a big plastic round knob that you twist when your threading it in.

I have never even considered running the front panels without the hard top on. Why is this configuration something you want to do?

For me, I like running the front panels only sometimes because it keeps the sun from beating down on you and its a little insurance if it starts raining.

Because it is cheaper than buying a bikini top.

saves on sunburn, keeps me a little dryer if I get caught in a rain storm, and last but not least in case a bird fly's over and decides to relieve itself.
