I have the same creaks...annoying. I didnt even think it could be at the levers themselves, just figured it was a settling or slight movement somewhere along the sides where they meet, but that makes sense...

so if thats the case, really anything sandwiched in there between the lever and the roof should stop it i would think...

Same here, but I tried driving (slow in the neighborhood over bumps) with only the front metal latchs and rear knobs tightened. Still made some creaking which leads me to believe that the noise is from the panels flexing. Anything that moves will make noise, so I'm thinking that maybe some dynamat or a similar product may reduce the noise somewhat. Any thoughts on this?

Nylon between the levers and the tops is a good idea if that is the culprit. Keep us updated!!

I just noticed the other day that I have some squeaks from the Freedom top when it's really cold outside (below freezing) AND I have snow/ice on the roof... oddly, (or maybe not so oddly) it only happens until the cabin temperature rises decently and warms the panels - then, they must expand or something, because all the squeaks and creaks go away... so I think that, in my case at least, it's a matter of the material(s) contracting in the cold.

This is a total non-issue for me when the weather is warm.

I have these creaks BAD, almost everytime I go over a bump. Took it off-road today and it sounded like my Jeep was going to crack in half. Sounds like it's coming from the same area you mentioned and it's loud. I was planning on taking the panels off this weekend and see if there is anything loose in that area...clamps, plastic molding etc.

the nylon helped considerably...i am trying the fuzzy side of velcro adhered to the landing portion of the lever...will update tomorrow morn . I thought it was where I paintded under the lever to match the carpet on the roof but am convinced it is between the lever ear and the landing of the top. I used some plyable plastic from a "report cover" as a washer under neath the lever where it is bolted to top...no differenc..then I noticed the spring loaded ball detent makes a noise that might be amplified aginst the top ...but that wasn't it either. Then i thought of the velcro ......

Default Update !!!!!!!!!

ok the velcro did a pretty good job at eliminating the creaks......also check the clamp to the windshield make sure the felt patch is in proper place and if you want to tighten the clamping strength cut a piece of tubing the width of the windshield bracket, slice it so it will slip over the round bracket and then close the clamp

or you can elongate the mounting holes to allow for adjustments...

Notice the difference between left and right holes.

hope this helps.
