18 mm. I'm about to replace my front seats. These bolts feel like they're welded in. I used a breaker bar and then my air gun.

Sorry to resurrect, but are the rear seat bolts the same size?

Default Factory seat bolt info

Mildly resurrecting the thread. What I found is a result of searching general Mopar part catalogs because I also had a problem with replacement seats for my Wrangler and needed to take them off. Wrangler catalogs somehow don't list the bolts on the seats diagrams or under interior trim, could be a repetitive human error.

The bolts are 4 per front seat - 2 at the front of the seat that are going into sunken floor nut mounts, they are exposed to the underside environment but hidden from direct spray from the wheel (JK 2-door). In my experience they are easier to take out. The bolts at the rear of the seat are closer to the ground, they are similarly exposed to the underside environment and are in direct path of the wheel spray. They rust over sooner than the front ones. If you can confirm your ability to remove those bolts first, you're on the better side of things.

The factory bolt is officially called 'machine screw', 'Hex Head Screw And Washer' but bear with me. Head is 18 mm socket, thread is M12x1.75, 50.5 mm long. Current Mopar part #6511069AA, superseded ##6507728AA, 6508069AA.

to remove them heat them slightly with a small propane torch first on the top (don't burn the carpet) and below where accessible. Melts the loctite holding them. Just torque em up to about 40lbs when reinstalling. They won't come undone.
