Only problem I had was getting the bushing in the two holes but hammer did the trick. Just a little tricky because at first hitting it w/ hammer will still bounce it back out but anyway you'll get it done eventually. I couldn't tell much difference except it feels a little stiffer and less jerking when going over bumpy rd.....

Default Woobles

Could the leaky stabilizer shock cause the "death wobbles"???

It could but more than likely you tie rod is bent and that is why you are getting death wobble.

The stock tie rod is made of a very soft steel and it only takes small impact to bend it. Now if that tie rod is bent just slightly it will change your "toe in" on the front 2 tires causing then to fight against each other as your driving down the road. That is what causes the steering wheel to violently wobble back and forth.

I went threw straightening my stock tie rod 3 times before I purchased the Rock Krawler tie rod and I have never had a issue since. I highly recommend it!

just had mine replaced under warranty. Mine failed, not due to a rock. It just failed.

I have 32K miles on my '09.

My symptoms. I noticed it had developed a shimmy over potholes and railroad tracks.

Looked underneath and it was leaking fluid.

Replaced, no problems.

on a side note, I found the dealer cost on the max warranty that is bumper to bumper for lifetime is $1600. Full retail is about $3K.

means you could probably get it for $1700 or so by shopping around, fyi.
