Default Fuel problems

I have noticed a few people having issues while filling their Jeeps with the fuel coming back out when i gets near full sort of likea baby burping up its dinner.

Well last saturday I had a "Fuel Fountain" it managed to fire the nozzle out of the tank and sprayy about 4 feet in the air. well after much cussing from me and laughing from my wife i decided to go to the dealership.

They where awsome and found out that this is caused by the "roll over valve" getting stuck and not letting the tank vent. They are replacing the whole tank and under warrenty no problems. I thought the fact I use premium with the blower they would say my warrenty void. Any one near Ft walton Beach, Florida should know that they are very Jeep frendly there.

Hope the roll over valve helps some other people with there fuel issues.

pcola here. i may have to start driving your way then. ft walton is nothing of a drive from here. hill kelly here is horrid. but they were one of the dealers that was about to be closed down but managed to stay open. im going to ckeck on this, cause my fuel is starting to backup now at 40,000, but extended warranty.

I have had my 07 unlimited for over 2 years and did not have a problem with the gas tank overflowing until this last weekend on an 800 mile round trip. Every time I fueled up the tank overflowed. I'm not sure if the freezing weather has anything to do with it but it was down around 0 to 17 deg F the entire time. I guess that I will wait or the weather to warm up and see if the overflow problem goes away before I take it to the dealer.

There is another large thread about this somewhere. I had this happen on my 07 model. I was pumping gas and I just happened to walk around to the passenger side of my jeep for a min. I can back and noticed a 4 foot stream of gas soaking the gas pump shooting out of my JK. The good thing was I wasn't where I usually stand while pumping gas.
