Everytime I read these gas mileage posts I change my mind about going to 4.88's. 4.10's with 35's and I get about 15mpg. Thank God for my Daily driver!

Default Getting around 17mpg here

I have gotten above 18 before but that is when I am paying attention to getting better fuel mileage. I have stock 32" Rubi tires, 6 speed, and 4.10's. I also shift around 2000-2300 rpm. I do keep track of my mileage on a note pad. I also just installed a drop-in K&N so no history as of yet to base an opinion. OBTW I also use standard 87 octane, use cruise and drive the speed limit, and have proper pressure in my tires.

I get b/w 18 and 21 mpg, 18 driving like a bat outta h3|| and 21 cruising on the interstate.....if i go 4wd i get b/w 16 and 18 (of course i drive worse then too).....even with the "winter gas" you should only drop 1 mpg or so not 10! ....letting it idle alot will also decrease mpg....check your air filter, look for leaks, and check mileage manually not by the Jeep computer and see if anything happens...if not somethings wrong

JK's suck gas quickly if you have a heavy foot. Slow down and your mileage will go way up. I get 18mpg's in my JKU.

The so called "Winter Blend" fuel will drop your mpg, plus it could have more than 10% ethanol -try changing brands.

Ok I run Mickey Thompson's Baja Claw in a 35 with a 3.5 lift and I am getting 18 mpg on highway but drops to 15 in traffic. NOW I did do a bone head thing this summer when I let my kid drive my jeep on the stock set up, we went down the interstate in 4th gear running 65-70. When he did that we did get 9 mpg. All my fault since the top was off and I didn't hear the engine but that might be something?

I'll certainly never complain about mpg again if that's what you're getting, though it is certainly easy to see a wide discrepancy in mpg by different kinds of drivers, even with equal vehicles.
